Tourism + Leisure

The district of Sulz, situated between forest and vineyards amidst the surrounding mountains and heights of the foothills of the Black Forest, offers a wide range of leisure activities for locals and tourists alike.

The Sulz natural swimming pool is nestled in the idyllic Sulzbach valley, surrounded by woods and meadows. Naturally treated water, free of any chemicals, invites you to swim and bathe.

Also in the Sulzbach valley is the water trail, which leads 4.5 kilometers along the Sulzbach stream over footbridges and stepping stones past rare plants and animals. Visitors are accompanied on their way by the six animal friends that adorn the logo of the water trail and present their habitat on and in the Sulzbach.

Hikers also get their money's worth on well-signposted hiking trails. In addition to the Sulzbachtal valley, the Langenhard natural heritage site is a popular destination for relaxing excursions in a magnificent landscape. The Breisgau Wine Trail also passes through the Sulz district on the stage between Ettenheim and Lahr.

There are also numerous places to stop for refreshments and overnight accommodation in Sulz and the surrounding area.
